I went for a walk today, in the lovely snow that was falling....I am still missing my dog on walks like this. Seventeen years is a long time to have such a faithful companion. We were blessed. I passed the local playground... Just a question. Is there anything so lonely as an empty playground? Images of such isolation, sadness, loneliness came to my mind as I walked by. But then, I took another perspective. What if the playground wanted to be alone for a while? What if it had been really tired from all the kids there, who had just left. What if some quiet was needed to recuperate and begin again in a few minutes? What if all I saw was just a part of the whole picture? Isn't that a lot like life? We see only part of the picture, but, based on our own perceptions, we make up our mind about what's going on. Never mind that we don't know the whole story of the other people/things involved...we know cause it's us and only we own our own thoughts... Next time you see something you're not sure about don't accept the first thought that comes to your mind. Explore a little further, I can guarantee that you will surely have another perspective. It might even be a really great thing but you just didn't give it a chance..... Let go of the empty playground thinking...look a little deeper. Living la vida fearless, Jan

Ok, the reviews are in and it appears to be a toss up between King Kong and Narnia for great movies over the Christmas season. Narnia is created from the book and King Kong is a remake of the original movie. Did you know that when King Kong first aired, during the depression, when nobody had money, it broke box office records? So, in that sense, it's not as popular now as it was then but...there is still some great allure to it. Seems like everybody loves it. Personally I haven't been to see it yet, and, I don't think I will so you can tell me what you thought about it here. What is it about the big guy that makes people want to go see this movie? For me the draw would be to see how well the original was re-created. I know the effects are supposed to be stunning, come on the producer was the same guy who did The Lord of the Rings...perhaps you've heard of him and his movies.. Anyway...Are you going to see the movie? Was King Kong fearless? What draws people to see a movie like this? Any thoughts? Jan
